Creative Costumes Ideas For Halloween 2011

When I was writing my post for current event costumes I neglected one of the biggest positive events of the year – the royal wedding  event of  Kate Middleton and Prince William. A royal wedding costume is the perfect costume for a young couple to wear for any Halloween party or event. What woman want not want to be a princess bride in a Kate Middleton costume and certainly even a man would want to portray the prince in a Prince William costume especially when he has such a beautiful bride.

The royal wedding was certainly a huge event in England where it unites everyone for a awhile. All the pagenty that leads up to the big day is just amazing, particularly to us Yanks. Even though we have never had a monarchy, the lives of royalty still intrigues us as it did everyone around the world. Where else does the usual act of kissing the bride have such a worldwide impact. He can’t give her a kiss that is too passionate and yet he doesn’t want to give a kiss that looks like he is kissing his mum (if Princess Diana were still alive). Either way the royal kiss was big new like all of the wedding was.

If you are going to dress in the royal wedding costumes for halloween, then you will probably be a very dashing couple. The Kate Middleton Costume most likely to be worn is as the royal bride costume. A white wedding dress is perfect for this costume. Kate had a very long train, but that might be a little awkward at parties unless you are really trying to make an entrance. Along with the dress, a veil with a tiara is a must have along with the white shoes.

A Prince William costume is very dashing as well in a royal wedding uniform costume. The jacket is a scarlet Irish guard jacket. It features a stunning blue sash. If you can get a British helicopter pilot wings to wear on the upper sash it would be even more realistic. The black pants also have a red stripe along the length. A royal sword would also be appropriate to have with the costume.
